RE: Elmira, by

Just want to thank Kenny for asking me to come with him to Elmira and Aaron, Larry, Leo, and Dennis for letting me hang with them and even shower in the same campsite!! Just taking in the sights, guys! Ha, ha!
Larry is not only a killer on the throttle, but also on the camp stove! Thanks for keeping everyone fed and you did a great job for your first time racing drags! The guys are lucky to have your help in the pits all of the time. You are dedicated and appreciated...and now, a threat on the water! Way to go! I heard the EWA might be sending you a bill for that fence, though- JK!
I am very proud to say that I even got the privilege of doing 4 laps with the winner of the "West-East Challenge" (renamed)- sorry, Scott (Ha, ha!) Thanks, Aaron- THAT WAS GREAT!!
You guys all put on a great show and the EWA crew couldn't have been more hospitable- Thank you very much!
I have pictures from the weekend and hopefully my computer will cooperate so I can email them to Jen to put on the IWA site.
Spectator numbers were down from previous years, from what I understand, but the people that were there thought it was awesome! The kids from the neighborhood around there were especially excited and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with the racers who took the time to talk with them and autograph anything from yearbooks, pictures, clothing, arms, legs, foreheads, even bikes!! Nothing was left unsigned! That's what it's all about, guys!
It was a great experience!

RE: 600 mod/ 800 stock rule

Hey, Mike D-
Sorry I'm a little slow to comment (or should I say, warn you!) on questioning Kenny about "running 2 classes" (see reply from 9/10)-
DON'T MESS WITH "THE POSTMAN" WHEN HE HAS PMS!!
Ha, ha!!

Wausau race

To The Rhyners and their crew-
AWESOME JOB!! You guys went over and above again and put on a great race. You should be very proud.
To Skip (my Ontonagon Man!!)
You did a great job announcing, as usual! You keep 'em on the edge of their seats!! (:
Thanks for your patience with me all weekend and for all the watercross history lessons! I learned a lot!
Your nicknames for the racers make it fun, too!
Thanks to Kenny and the other racers who made my son Steve's (#715) first try at racing a great experience. He met and got to talk to some of the guys and he's pumped for next year already! Watch out!!
Thanks to all the racers who take the time to sign autographs for the kids at the races and talk to them a little. You could find yourself racing against some of them someday! They really think you guys are cool!! My youngest son and his friend tracked a bunch of you down at the entrance to the pits!! Thanks for babysitting!!

RE: grantsburg pictures

If anyone has footage of Kenny's race with Nordang, please let him know- I screwed up somehow (AGAIN!) and wasn't recording it.
It would mean a lot.
Also, I got the sled # for David Fischer out of the Grantsburg book for my post yesterday and The Postman let me know that it was wrong- OOPS!
Sorry, Dennis! The girls think David is "the new Studman", but you are still #1

RE: Who is going to be your world champs for 2008??

First of all, Congrats to all of the drivers who placed at Grantsburg!
You all put on a great show!
Especially you, #175, with that pirouette on the water just before you went down!! Please tell me someone caught that on a camcorder??!!
The Grantsburg crew did an exceptional job and should be very proud of all of their hard work! It paid off!
To Skip: I know you aren't home yet, but Thanks for being so patient with me during my unexpected "orientation" to Sandy's job!!
I always wondered what she was doing- now I have a new appreciation!!
I did not leave Skip's side to eat or go to the bathroom yesterday!!
I will be there for you at Wausau, if you need me, but I think I'm going to try to somehow get Sandy to call in to work that weekend so she can go!! Ha, ha!
All of the staff and volunteers for the IWA work so hard and put in so many hours, sometimes with very little or no breaks, to make sure the show runs as smoothly as possible. A very dedicated bunch, to say the least.
Great job everyone!!
"Postmaster General" (:
P.S. I heard a rumor from some teenage girls yesterday that there is possibly a new "Studman"?? You know who you are #221!!

RE: Watercross Trivia

Hey, skip-
I know I'm a little late jumping in on this and I don't know if "the wives and girlfriends" are allowed to play(?), but I just wanted to let you know that I don't think that the "best looking wife and girlfriend" questions are legitimate for "trivia"!
With trivia, if I remember correctly, there should only be ONE answer to each question?? Those 2 questions have too many answers (:
(I do have to give Shawn Z. a pat on the back next time I see him for coming on here and voting for his wife, though! You're a lucky gal, Krista!)
"Best looking" opens a can of worms and can cause some trouble, however, I can't believe more racers haven't come forward to vote their girls in!? Maybe they're already "in the doghouse" over it?! Hope not!
To ALL the wives and girlfriends of watercross- WE ARE #1 for being there and showing our support for the sport!
The guys are lucky and I think they know it!
Getting excited for Grantsburg!!
Can't wait to see everyone!

RE: IWA elections @ Grantsburg

Sorry, Skip! Reopening the nominations for "most entertaining H2OX announcer"!!
You make it fun and interesting!
The "post office" is closed for a while, so the "postman" can deliver even faster at Grantsburg.
Good Luck to everyone!

RE: who is going to win in ELY?

I'm betting on #175.
Not just because I'm partial, but I've been seeing him on alot of people's shirts lately, so I'm going with the majority!
See you all in Ely!
Good Luck to all!

Also want to say how perfect the site at Moose Lake was for the race!!
The crowd was very enthusiastic and there was a lot of talk about next year already.
Congrats to all the racers, especially #175- The "celebrity"!!
Skip- you did a great job, as always!
We missed you, Sandy!!

RE: What is Killing Watercross

This may not mean much coming from someone who just experienced her 1st H2OX season in 2007, as a new fan and part time helper for Jenefer, but all I have encountered are people who would "give the shirt off their back" for the people they race against- It was a new, but enjoyable competetive environment.
I am no expert, by any means, but after you've been a hockey and Basketball mom, this is LOW STRESS!
I know there has been a lot of "back and forth" on Snowweek and between IWA members via email.
I don't know (and probably don't want to know!) all of the "logistics" with the "drama" that's been mentioned, but that's life- it's not just in "the racing world"- it's EVERYWHERE!
Personalities come into play and issues are individual.
Deal with it and keep on doing what you do for the enjoyment of it and what you give the fans. That will help the sport grow.
I tried really hard to double check all of my spelling, so I wouldn't receive several addresses and phone numbers for logging companies in Moose Lake- Ha, ha, Aaron!
Everyone take care and I am looking forward to my 2nd season as a H2OX fan and I will help out wherever I am needed.
